First of all, thank you for your order. We believe Verdmo will become a key part of your lawn, garden and plant maintenance. We are here to help. If you have any questions at all please reach out to us.


Now let's get your Verdmo setup.


STOP! Did you receive an e-mail from Blynk asking to create an account? If so great! This is needed to get started. If not please contact us at help@verdmo.com and we will re-send it to you right away.


Blynk Account: When you receive an e-mail from Blynk follow the links to sign up, creating a password. From here you will signed in to your online dashboard. You should also see two links, one to the Apple App Store, and one to the Google Play store. Follow these to download the Blynk app, and sign into it using the same e-mail and password. 


Step 1: Before turning on your Verdmo we recommend you decide and prep the location for installation. This could be your garden, flower bed, lawn or anywhere else you want to monitor your soil. There are two main ways to install your Verdmo, vertically by pushing it down into your soil, or horizontally by digging a hole and placing it at the depth you want. Step 2: Once you have prepped your location you can unbox your Verdmo (be careful, the sensor is sharp!). A few items to note:

  • The cord has a waterproof connection. This allows you to disconnect the hub from the sensor for recharging, and allows you to keep your sensor in the same location so the readings remain consistent.
  • The hub is the main controller. You will need a Phillips/Cross Slotted screwdriver to open it for initial setup, resetting and recharging the battery.


Step 3: Unscrew the black box, separate the top and bottom, and remove the cardboard battery stopper. You should now see LEDs working on your Verdmo. When you see a green LED flashing you are ready to start the setup process! 

*Note: If the LEDs are not flashing press and hold the button close to the battery (negative side) for 1-2 seconds*


Step 4: App Setup


  • If adding your first Verdmo you will see an "add device" button on the main screen. If you are adding an additional device you can click the menu in the top right and then click "add device"


  • Click on "Connect to WiFi"


  • The green LED on your Verdmo should be flashing. Now click "Ready", wait a few moments, and then connect the device in the popup titled "Blynk Verdmo *********"

           *NOTE: If your Verdmo does not connect using this method, press cancel, than "manual connect", and follow the on screen steps*


  • Once your device has connected you will be asked to select and fill in your WiFi information. Once done click "Continue"
  • Your Verdmo will now be updated and connected to your WiFi


  • Once connected you will be able to name your Verdmo (Eg. Front Yard)


  • The final step is to either begin using your Verdmo or add more devices.


  • Enjoy your Verdmo!


Some Notes:

  • It usually takes 1-2 days for your sensor readings to even out, but can take longer.
  • Temperature affects moisture readings. Moisture and Temperature affects EC readings. 
  • More information regarding sensor readings and setup are coming soon.
  • Your Verdmo will connect and update every hour.
  • Your Verdmo may need to be charged before use.
